This basic principle keeps the water flowing into the eavestrough through the front-facing opening while allowing debris to fall harmlessly to the ground. Liquid adhesion uses the water’s surface tension to adhere it to the hood so it can flow gently around the curvature of the front facing entrance. What makes it work is the curved surface that does disrupt the natural flow of water, thus keeping intact so it does not disperse before the desired point.
